Eco-Commuter – Green Your Daily Commute
The Eco-Commuter Tool allows you to plot your daily commute from home to work or school and back. If you drop children off at daycare or school, you can include that stop in your daily commute. The Eco-Commuter Tool will calculate the miles you drive each week as well as how many gallons of gasoline you use (based on the fuel efficiency rating of your car), the cost of that gasoline, and the carbon emitted.
The Eco-Commuter tool also allows you to calculate your savings (gasoline, dollars, carbon) if you carpool, walk, ride a bike, or ride a bus to work. If you choose walking or riding a bike, you’ll see how many calories you would burn. If you choose to carpool one or more days per week, you can click through to a carpool matching website to help you find carpool partners. You can also calculate the potential savings if you switched to a more fuel efficient car. Considering moving to a new home or apartment? Earth Aid – Utility Management Tool
- Sign up for on-line bill pay with your utilities. Before you sign up in EarthAid, you need to make sure that you’ve registered with each utility provider on line.
- Create your EarthAid account – First name, Last name, zip code, email address, create your log-in and password.
- Select your utility providers for electricity, natural gas, and water.
EarthAid will retrieve your historical utility use and provide you with your average use data that you can compare to the average of EarthAid participants for the US, for Arkansas, and in your zip code! You’ll get reports that show if you’ve saved energy, money and carbon. When you save, you’ll earn reward points that you can redeem at local merchants and business partners.
